Felt so lucky to have been raised in the Pacific Northwest amongst you, always referring to the homeland as "America the Beautiful". Felt our good education, honest values, sense of equality and democratic ideals provided a kind of inner freedom and courage which equipped me to feel at home and make a good life among strangers wherever we landed. Shocked to hear our hallowed Supreme Court opted to cross its boundaries and NAME our president, rather than count votes. First warning, followed by a gradual degrading of our institutions and Constitution. and an illegal, ill-prepared war. Began creating concerts to register voters and involve other Americans abroad to take our responsibilities as citizens in the same way we continue to pay taxes. Both children finished graduate degrees in the US, recently returned to Europe...Share family time between Paris, Barcelona and the Brittany coast, the closest facsimile we could find to the Pacific Northwest.
